Arkansas Workforce Centers - Drew County Career Center
Arkansas Workforce Centers provide locally developed and operated services linking employers and j obseekers through a statewide delivery system. Convenient "one-stop" centers are designed to eliminate the need to visit different locations. The Centers integrate multiple workforce development programs into a single system, making the resources much more accessible and user-friendly to jobseekers as well as expanding services to employers.
Youth Development Program
The W.I.A. Youth Development Program is an Education and Employability Skills Program which serves youth who have not obtained a high school diploma. The Youth Development Program serves participants in Ashley, Drew, and Lincoln Counties.
Objectives:

- Complete Employment Skills Training
- Career Exploration
- Job Placement
Services provided include:
- Referral to Adult Education
- Counseling
- Work Experience
- Employment Skills
- Career Planning & Job Search Assistance
- Basic Life Skills Training
Eligibility Requirements:
- 16 to 21 years of age
- No High School Diploma
- Call for income requirements

- Mentoring
- Job Shadowing
- Workshops
- Field Trips
